Abstract
Every organization, including the local church, faces big and small challenges. Developing a quality leadership team can be one of the larger challenges. With this, the local church is the premiere organization to demonstrate servant leadership. Today, 21st century churches need strong, competent leadership teams that work as one unit with senior pastor to better serve a congregation. Team-based leadership is a major contribution to the success of any local church. This research paper explores some of the most fundamental components and characteristics needed for a leadership team in the local church.
