Abstract

The purpose of this study is to mentor the laity in the Indian community churches in North America. I have been in the ministry for the past twenty six years in various capacities and have identified that there is no mentoring program in this community of believers.

The participants in this project will be mentors who are mature believers and are role models and are willing to be supportive and encouraging to the new believers in the congregation (Mentee). The Mentor will also assist the new believer in the Word of God, and assist them with the growth in their prayer life. These Mentors will also assist them in setting goals that will be beneficial to the growth of the individual and the body of Christ. A structured guideline will be provided and the project will be coordinated by me. The Mentor-Mentee relationship will be carried out for one year and then reassessed if there is a need to improve the process....
