Abstract
The Word-Faith movement has been criticized by Christian leaders who adamantly reject the interpretation of Scripture regarding the authority and privileges of Christ followers. Further, critics of the movement have instinctively made the assumption that any questionable leader or misguided follower with extreme views on faith, outrageous excesses regarding prosperity, and questionable teachings on healing are part of the Word-Faith movement. As a result, the movement has been categorized as heretical, and teaching "faith" has become synonymous with teaching Word-Faith principles with all its negative connotations. One critic has been especially grave in his evaluation of Word-Faith movement, D.R. McConnell, author of A Different Gospel....
